The Field Museum

Sunday was rainy so we took in the Field Museum. Ian saw Sue the largest, most complete tyrannosaurus skeleton yet discovered and yes, she is huge! Her teeth are the size of bowie knives and she has a lot of them. We also went through the evolving planet exhibit which was extremely educational. I would have liked to have spent more time studying all the different geologic ages, but Ian was more interested in throwing his stuffed octopus into the exhibits and then climbing in after it. And if I tried to stop him or retrieve the octopus myself, I was treated to terrible howls, flailing and whining.

In the basement of the Field, there was a children's Discovery Lab with a sound-proof drum room. Ian really enjoyed this and I suspect in the near future we're going to be supporting a Taiko drummer.

Don't you remember?
We saw Sue too - at the Boston Museum of science. Infact you did an imitation of Sue biting the docile brontosaurus - played by Rache
