The boys visited our inland sea, Lake Superior, for the first time yesterday. We've wanted to take them to the North Shore for some time but it seems like there was always one bad reason after another not to go. Bad parents! The beautiful vistas of the North Shore make the soul blossom.
First stop was Betty's Pies where we had ... pie. Delicious apple strawberry crunch. mmmmmm.
Next was for a little romp on the beach. This was Liam's first time in a major body of water.
And then, we were off to see the lighthouse. We're saving Split Rock lighthouse for another trip.
It was a long day and they were soooo good! It gives me encouragement for more adventurous excursions.
